Born and raised in Lisbon, I spent many summers mountain biking around the Lisbon hills.
I became so addicted to it that at the age of 18 instead of trading in two wheels for four I began riding more and more. That´s simply how I started my obsession with bicycles.
With a background in Geophysics, I became a cycling journalist back in 1997, writing for the first ever mountain bike magazine in Portugal.
Four years later I became a bike tour leader and since then I have been combining my guiding career with the writing and making dinner (most nights).
In the last few years, I started my own guided bike tours in Lisbon and all over Portugal.
