GUB Aluminum Bike phone Holder
I have used a GUB bicycle phone mount myself for over 2 years on my road and city bike and it has never let me down. There are various reasons behind the fame of GUB cellphone holders. It is compatible with numerous smartphone models, thanks to its adjustable width grip, and with a secure screw tightening mechanism, it provides optimum security to smartphones.
The GUB Aluminum phone mount has three aluminum clamps that offer extra security and keep your phone in a fixed place. The new version is actually an upgrade from the old version that I use, as it also secured the base of the phone - not just the sides.
One can quickly assess the compatibility of the GUB phone mount as you can adjust its clamps from 4 to 7 inches. Thus, if you have any navigation device that is 7-inches long, you don’t need to worry about the compatibility of the GUB cell phone holder.

ROCKBROS Bike Phone Frame Bag
Next is the phone frame bag by ROCKBROS, which is the perfect solution if you are riding a bicycle or bike on a bumpy road. Multiple features make the ROCKBROS phone frame bag one of the best cellphone holders for bikes in 2021.
I own a slightly smaller version that I have used on my gravel bike, where I can stash gear and snacks in the extra storage space.
At the top of the bag, you can use the phone mount to adjust your cell phone securely. Below is the attached bag that serves two purposes.
Not only does the frame bag protect your phone as it damps the effects of bumps, it also gives you significant extra storage where you can keep your small essential items.

Lamicall Bike Phone Holder Mount
Last comes my very favourite handlebar phone holder, the Lamicall universal. I have used this phone holder for around two years now on my city and mountain bike, on some pretty serious trails!
I will be totally honest, I broke the first one at the ball joint on a very rocky trail.
But as I loved the speed and single handed use to place and remove my phone, so I decided to give it another try and this time I rotated the phone 90 degrees so that is was in line with the handlebar and there was less back and forth bounce, and I have never had the issue again.
Like GUB and ROCKBROS smartphone holders, the Lamicall phone holder mount fits most phones up to "6.8. If you want to access your phone quickly but keep it secure, even on bumpy off-road terrain, the Lamicall bike phone holder is the mount for you.
The Lamicall bike phone holder mount is also affordable when compared with other cell phone holders for bicycles. It provides a good deal of protection to the phone and protects it from every possible scratch - as I found out when I snapped my first one, and the phone was still cradled in the holder that had snapped off from the handlebar clamp.
Best for
Recommended phone holder for off road and daily urban cyclists.
Pros
- Durable materials and build
- Fastest to secure and remove phone
- Adjustable (360-Degree)
- Best for Large Cases
- Most universally compatible
- Single handed use
Cons
- Bulkier than other handlebar mounted models
- Takes up a lot of space on your handlebar
Specification:
Universal bicycle or motorcycle handlebar Phone Mount Clamp, One Hand Operation for iPhone 12 / 11 Pro Max / X / XS, Galaxy S10 and 4.7"- 6.8" Cellphone - Black

- If Road, Gravel or City cycling is your main cycling style, then the GUB Aluminum Bike Phone Holder is a great choice for simplicity and functionality on long rides on paved roads.
- If your are a casual rider who sometimes needs extra space to pack other extras like glasses, sunscreen or snacks, the Rockbros phone holder case is an excellent choice.

REPLY BY OWNER: Thanks for your comments! As I mentioned, I do actually own all three of my recommended phone holders, but I do make most use of the Lamicall phone holder. It is just the quickest and most versatile to use for me. My phone is splash and dust proof so I’m quite happy to leave it on the bike during any ride, on or off road. The Gub is the first high quality phone holder I bought, but if I had a more sensitive phone, I would prefer to use the Rockbros case, even though it’s a bit of a hassle having to open the zipper to take the phone out. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
I swear by the Lamicall phone holder, it never disappointed me regardless of the terrain I rode on. The fact that it can be unmounted easily with just one hand makes it much easier for me to take it and then lock it back. Works perfectly with my S10+, all side buttons are easily accessible, I don’t have to think twice about it. Plus, it looks way better than I initially expected, definitely doesn’t look like a budget phone holder.
These are fantastic options! I was looking for something that would be more useful and handy than the one I have currently. Unfortunately, it ends up giving me issues because of where it needs to sit on my bike. I am going to compare a few of these and buy one today. I have a biking trip with work friends coming up in the beginning of February.
If you’re a regular cyclist, you know how important it is to protect your gear while you’re riding but also to have it readily available. I never understood why simple things like water bottle snap-ons, etc. weren’t designed better (although it has improved). These universal phone holders are nice, especially if you’re using a navigation program to guide yourself.
